Who we are
petcalc is an independent project at petcalc.org. You can reach us at contact@petcalc.org.
What we collect
- No accounts or forms. You don't sign up, and our calculators don't send what you type to our servers.
- Analytics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies or track you across sites, and it reports aggregated statistics only.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Data stored on your device
To remember your preferences, our calculators save a few values in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device, and you can delete it by clearing your browser's site data. Keys start with petcalc::
petcalc:units: your preferred units (US or metric).petcalc:dog: your dog's age, size and breed, so other calculators can fill them in.petcalc:dogAge:lastandpetcalc:hub:last: your last inputs on the dog age calculator and the lifespan lookup.
Shared links
When you share a result, the link contains the values you entered (for example your dog's age and size) so the recipient sees the same result.
Advertising
We don't show ads at the moment. If we add advertising, we will update this policy first to explain how ad partners use cookies and how you can opt out.
Children
petcalc is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. Email to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing.
Changes
We'll update this page and its date when our practices change.
